Mission & Vision

Our Mission

Break the cycle of “extreme poverty” for the people of Nicaragua. “Give a man a fish and he will feed his family for a day. Teach a man how to fish and he will feed his family for life.”

This involves a many pronged effort that must involve all of the following elements:

  1. Food and Education
  2. Housing
  3. Clean water
  4. Sanitation
  5. Economic Development

Through these efforts we do not provide for these people what they can do for themselves. They have the willingness to work, but we provide materials, training construction supervision and oversight so that they can become self-sufficient without our continuing donations. Education for the children is the most important element in eliminating “extreme poverty.”

Our Vision

Create a model that one day could be adopted by Rotary International that will help eradicate extreme poverty in the world. By doing so, through education and sustained development we will be promoting peace and understanding throughout the world so that “maybe – just maybe one day in this world there will be no children that are living in a dump.”
